Questions people ask
Does changing my company's name change its EIN?
No. The EIN stays the same; the IRS is told about the new name separately, and we handle that too.
Can I change my address through the annual report?
In some states, yes. We'll tell you if yours allows it, which can save you a separate filing.
I'm adding or removing an owner. What else changes?
Usually the operating agreement or share records, and your bank should know. If the person who controls the company changes, the IRS asks to be told within 60 days (Form 8822-B).
How long does a change take?
It depends on your state's processing time. We tell you the current wait when we confirm your order.
